School M is a school management application designed to help parents stay informed about their child’s attendance, exam results, fees, and school notifications. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with relevant regulations, including the Google Play Developer Policy, Apple App Store Review Guidelines, GDPR, and COPPA

Note: This app is intended for use by parents, guardians, and school staff. Students aged 13 and above may use the app under parental or school supervision. The app complies with Google Play Families Policy, COPPA, and GDPR requirements

2. Data We Collect

We only collect the data necessary to provide school-related services:

• Personal Data: Student and Parent Names, Student ID, Class and Section, Address, Gender, Father’s CNIC — collected and managed by the respective schools and accessed by the app.
• Device Data: Device token (used for push notifications)
• Academic Information: Attendance records, Exam results, Fee details
Note: Parents cannot create accounts within the app. All accounts are created and managed by the respective school administration.
Note: We use industry-standard encrypted storage mechanisms on your device to protect sensitive information such as authentication tokens and push notification tokens

Institutional Data: Basic school details such as School name, School Phone Number, School Email,School address, and School description may be displayed within the app. This data is provided by the respective school administration via secure API and is not linked to personal user data.

3. Permissions

The app requires the following permissions:

• Internet Access – to communicate with the school's servers
• Notifications – to deliver important school alerts and updates
• Auto-Start Permission – to enable the app to start automatically in the background, ensuring you receive timely notifications even when the app is not actively open.The app requests only essential permissions on both Android and iOS devices to deliver school notifications and updates

4. Use of Information

We use the collected data to:

• Authenticate and log users into the app
• Display personalized student information
• Send reminders and school updates
• Improve the functionality and reliability of the app

5. Children’s Privacy

Our app is designed primarily for parents and school staff, but students aged 13–17 may access the app with parental or school supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children without school or parental involvement. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately

We comply with COPPA and GDPR by ensuring that any data about children is only collected and managed through schools with proper parental or institutional consent.

Our app does not display third-party advertisements and does not show or promote sexual content.

All user accounts are created and managed by schools; minors cannot independently register within the app

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Limited data may be shared with trusted third parties, including:

• Firebase – for push notifications

Access to user information is strictly limited to authorized school staff.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures such as HTTPS encryption, secure authentication tokens, and access control mechanisms to protect your data. However, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to safeguard your information, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

We use FluttersecureStorage to store sensitive data such as authentication tokens and push notification tokens securely on the device. This ensures that your data is encrypted and protected from unauthorized access.

8. User Rights

You have the right to:

• Request correction or deletion of your data (through your school)
• Deactivate your account
• Contact us regarding any privacy concerns

9. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as it is necessary to fulfill educational and legal requirements. Data that is no longer needed is securely deleted.

The page provides a simple way to submit your request by filling out the required details such as username, school code, and a reason for deletion. Requests will be reviewed and processed within 7 working days. This policy complies with GDPR and Google Play data deletion requirements.
